This giraffe carving is made of springstone a type of soapstone which appears black but on closer examination has a green tint.  This stone is a hard variety of soapstone and can weather well in outdoor conditions, however caution should be taken in extreme cold conditions.  This piece represents the loving bond between a couple as they are intertwined as one.
